Mildura-Disability-Support-without-contact

Mildura Disability Support business is dedicated to providing comprehensive and personalised care for neurodivergent people. Our goal is to empower and support our clients to live fulfilling and independent lives, while also ensuring that their unique needs are met with compassion and understanding.

We have a welcoming and inclusive environment where our clients feel valued and supported.

We offer a range of services tailored to the specific needs of each individual, including personal care assistance, transportation services, respite, and social and community activities. We also provide support for families and caregivers, offering respite care and educational resources to help them navigate the challenges of caring for a loved one with a disability.

In addition to our support services, our business advocates for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. We work to promote accessibility and awareness, and collaborate with local organisations and government agencies to create more opportunities for our clients to fully participate in society.

Overall, our vision is to become a trusted and valuable resource for individuals and families living with autism, ADHD, down syndrome and other neurodivergence, providing the highest quality of care and support to help them lead meaningful, dignified lives with enriching experiences.

Home & Personal Care Services

Mildura Disability Support offers services such as personal care & support, cleaning, and meal preparation for NDIS client's. Showering, dressing, shaving, nail clipping, brushing teeth & any personal care requirements can be done by our support workers. We focus on empowering our client's instead of enabling. We encourage independence at all times but are there to gently support & guide when needed.

Capacity Building - Peer Support

Mildura Disability offers neurodivergent participants mentoring, peer support & individual skill development. This is designed to increase capacity within the participants home or community to develop skills. For example, assistance in attending apppointments, shopping, bill paying, taking part in social activities & maintaining contact with others.

Meal Preparation

Mildura Disability Support workers can go grocery shopping for our client's or take them shopping to choose their own groceries. We can assist with putting groceries into the car & unpacking at home. We are also able to do meal preparation with or for client's if required.

Transportation

Mildura Disability Support workers have a driver's license, and have reliable & fully comprehensively insured vehicles used to transport our clients from appointments, for hair cuts, to go to the dentist, to go to and from school or work, or to run everyday life errands.

Caregiver Relief & Respite

Mildura Disability Support offers respite care services for caregivers. This includes providing temporary in-home support for caregivers who need a break or offering respite care at home.

This service is beneficial for caregivers of people living with severe disabilities or chronic medical conditions who require a lot of attention and support.

As a mum of 2 living with disabilities, respite care has been a saviour for me. I highly recommend using any allowed funding to have a break to refresh. This is imperative to avoid carer burnout. Rest assured your loved ones will be safe and given the best care possible with Mildura Disability Support.

Community inclusion & social support services

Mildura Disability Support offers community inclusion and social support services. This includes facilitating social and recreational activities for individuals with disabilities, helping them connect with their community, and promoting independence and self-advocacy. We are focused on helping our client's achieve their goals and increasing their independence in the community. We do this in a supportive and respectful way.

So, whether you or your loved one wants to go fishing, bowling, clothes shopping, to the library or anywhere else that is accessible to them, we have a support worker who can help.
