SUNRAYSIA INDIAN ASSOCIATION Inc.

The Sunraysia Indian Association Inc (SIA) was formed and incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation to help bring together Indians and people of Indian descent living in the Sunraysia region (which includes Mildura, Irymple, Merbein, Nichols Point, Red Cliffs and Robinvale).

We began as a community project in October 2017 in celebration of Diwali - 'A Festival of Lights'. In the aftermath of the event, community members met at Nowingi Place, Mildura on 5 Nov 2017 to discuss Indian community needs and future plans. There was agreement among the members that an Indian Association should be incorporated to serve the growing Indian community. SIA was incorporated on January 3, 2018. Currently, we have 131 registered members, and the number is growing.

The SIA Inc. represents the rich diversity of Indian cultures, languages, regions, and religions. All of our committee members and representatives come from different regions, cultures, and professions, and we're here for our members and the Indian community. Membership is free and open to anyone with Indian ancestry.
