Julie Janson in conversation with Maya Hodge
A Burruberongal woman of the Darug nation, Julie Janson is a novelist, playwright, poet. She will be speaking with Maya Hodge, a Lardil and Yangkaal emerging writer and curator about her bestselling crime novel Madukka the River Serpent (2022) set in the fictitious northern New South Wales town of Wilga, on the Darling (Baaka) River. Aunty June, newly TAFE-certified in private investigating, confronts corruption and lies as she tries to uncover the disappearance of her relative.
