Free Health Awareness Day

Take charge of your health by joining us for our FREE Health Awareness Day on Tuesday 25 June from 10am to 2pm at the Ouyen Service Centre!

Receive a free health check and hear from guest speakers from local health organisations including Country Hearing Care, Vision Australia, Mallee Track Health and Mallee Family Care.

Country Care Group will be in attendance to offer a range of products and services for independent living, mobility, rehabilitation and healthcare.

General screening tests for heart health, diabetes, and hearing will be conducted by Ambulance Victoria and Country Hearing Care staff on the day.

Learn about hearing health including communication strategies for those with a hearing loss, hearing aid basics and preventing hearing loss.

Jane Sandilands – Vision Australia

Learn about common eye conditions, changes that occur to the eye as we age, and Eye Health and Vision Australia Services available to you.

Hear an update on Mallee Track Health and Community Services for community and carers.

Why screening tests are important:

Even if you are healthy and have no symptoms, you should see a doctor for regular check-ups. Screening tests can pick up early signs of disease. For many diseases, early management is more effective than later treatment.
