Mildura Rural City Council, Better Building Finance and Mildura Regional Development are partnering together to help local businesses future-proof themselves against rising energy costs with a free information and networking event in May.

As we watch electricity prices rise and experience market volatility, business owners may be asking how they can reduce their overheads and plan for an uncertain future.

Many businesses are looking towards sustainability initiatives not only to appeal to a market that increasingly demands better environmental performance, but also to save thousands (sometimes even millions) of dollars in operational costs.

Come along for an afternoon of business networking and knowledge-sharing. Learn about how you can improve the profitability and sustainability of your business, and the support available to you.

Speakers include:

• Mildura Rural City Council (Local Council) – on supports available for local businesses and their sustainability goals

• Mildura Regional Development (MRD) – the peak economic and tourism organisation for the Mildura region on the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses

• Sustainable Australia Fund (Lender) – on how businesses can finance their building upgrades without affecting their business cashflow

• A panel of sustainability experts on the different technologies that can power profits in your business including No 1 Solar, Thermoshield, and Glaciem Heating and Cooling

• A panel of local businesses on the challenges in their industry and their sustainability journey so far, including AVL Wines, Cann Group and SJM Developments.

Following the event, attendees will have the opportunity to network and share knowledge with other local businesses and service providers.
