Intro to song arranging with Chrissy Hogarth

A family-friendly instrumental workshop for acoustic musicians of all ages and skill levels who want to learn more about using different techniques to arrange songs and make them sound great.

  • 7pm to 9pm, Thursday 7 March 2024
  • Powerhouse Place, Hugh King Drive

Bring along your acoustic instrument and/or voice, learn a song and practice using different compositional techniques to change the sound/feel of the song. 

Learn about how different instruments work together in song arrangement. Build confidence in playing music as part of a group.

Raised in Mildura, Chrissy now lives in Los Angeles. She is an international performer and Kanile'a Ukulele and Godin Guitars endorsed artist, singer/songwriter, film composer, and educator. She has headlined festivals including the Melbourne Ukulele Festival and The Gaithersburg Ukulele Festival. Drawing from a multitude of styles and influences including pop, hip hop, reggae and rock, Chrissy is constantly evolving her sound and recently added live looping to her set.
