'Tis the Season to be Sustainable - Free Workshops

The festive season is here and it's the perfect opportunity to re-think your waste. Come along to our fun community day and see how simple it is to be sustainable and learn more about our local waste systems.

Hosted by Mildura Rural City Council this FREE event will provide something for everyone to enjoy.

Bookings essential for workshops with numbers strictly limited. Please refer to details below on how to register.

9.30am - 10am: Rubbish truck display
Look inside and have a photo taken beside it!

10am - 11am: Native Christmas tree decorating workshop
Decorate and take home your own native Australian pine using recycled decorations for the festive season.  One tree per family.

11am - 12pm: Festive cooking and food waste avoidance demonstration
Learn tips, tricks and strategies to avoid excess food waste this festive season, followed by a cooking demonstration showcasing how simple and essential it is to meal plan and recycle in the kitchen.
