The Sunraysia region has a long and enviable reputation as a centre for motorsport excellence, producing numerous national and international competitors and events over many decades.

Motorsport is also a significant contributor to Sunraysia’s economy, injecting $21 million annually.

The Mildura Regional Motorsport Strategy aims to build on this, further elevating motorsport’s position as both a major economic driver for the Sunraysia region and an even more popular sport and pastime for the community.

Motorsport’s status as a key economic driver for the region, combined with its high participation rates and Sunraysia’s reputation in the state and national motorsport community makes the Strategy one of Council’s Major Projects.

The Strategy also has the backing of Motorsport Australia and was officially endorsed by Mildura Rural City Council in December 2023. A copy of the Strategy is available to download on this page.
