Community Plans

Council recognises that local people are the experts when it comes to local communities and that’s why community planning works so well. A grass-roots approach to shaping the future of our region’s communities, the community planning process sees local residents take charge of their community’s destinies. With assistance from Council, residents develop individual plans to pave the way forward for their towns. The plans outline the community’s vision for the future and set priorities for progress.

Once developed and endorsed by Council, community plans are used to help Council determine what types of projects and initiatives to prioritise in particular parts of our municipality.

Council has been assisting local townships to develop community plans since 2007. All endorsed community plans are listed below.
