Do you know a young person who loves LEGO?

Each week during term time Red Cliffs Library hosts 3:45 afterschool program.  This term we will be focusing on having fun with LEGO!

Whether you take one of our LEGO challenges or use your imagination to build something amazing, it’s time to try your hand at being a LEGO master!  What will you build?

345 LEGO sessions are free, no bookings required.

 

 

 

Mix it up - Mildura Library

Join us at Mildura Library for our after-school program during school terms, featuring engaging activities like mindfulness colouring, LEGO challenges, crafts, and tech fun. Designed for kids aged five to 13.

Wednesdays - 3:45pm to 4:45pm.

Mindfulness Colouring - 17 July, 14 August, 11 September

Kids are encouraged to take a break and relax while colouring.

LEGO Challenges - 24 July, 21 August, 18 September

Young people will have loads of fun using LEGO to solve engineering challenges or build something great.

Clever Kits - 31 July, 28 August

Get crafty and make something cute to take home! Bookings required and can be made by telephoning 03 5018 8350.

Tech Zone - 7 August, 4 September

Learn about coding with BeeBots or have playing games using the Osmos in the tech zone.

Makerspace - Merbein Library

Makerspace at Merbein Library is a creative after school program that uses hands-on activities to explore and make.

Term 3 Program

18 July - Winter wonderland. Brr its cold out there, cold enough to snow? Make decorative snowflakes by cutting them out and using salt and water colour paints. Experiment with an ice fishing experiment.

25 July - Mini Summer Olympics with a twist Join in and enjoy some fun competing games with a twist!

1 August - Library and Information Week Make a book monster and take part in a scavenger hunt in the library. Can you find everything?

8 August - Lego challenges Can you build it with socks on your hands, blindfolded, using only one hand or build it in one minute?  BYO own socks and blindfold.

15 August – Science Week Species Survival - More than just sustainability. Save our Koalas.  Learn about the effort that goes into saving our Australian koalas. Build a koala to take it home to cuddle.

22 August – Australian Children’s Book Week- Reading is magic.

Discover the happiness of magic and build and perform a magic trick. Enjoy the short-listed books from Australian Children’s Book Week selection and encounter the magic of reading.

29 August - Galaxy slime and outer space Learn all about the planets and the Universe we live in. Make some twinkling galaxy slime that is out of this world!

5 September - Jack in the box. This classic toy has been used to signify surprises, happiness, and as a symbol of childhood.  Make a simple Jack in the box to amaze your family and friends.

12 September - Sewing creations Make a cute pouch to put all your little treasures in.

19 September - Pirates Ahoy, it’s Talk like a pirate day! Dress as a pirate come aboard for some pirate adventures and mayhem!
