Archè ballet to enthral audiences at MAC

Mildura Arts Centre is continuing its jam-packed dance season with a beautiful ballet called Archè by Melbourne Ballet Company this Friday.

Melbourne Ballet Company is one of Australia's most respected dance companies. It has a unique ballet repertoire which is both innovative and dynamic, while still paying homage to classical ballet techniques.

Mildura Rural City Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said the highly acclaimed production of Archè will delighted audiences, and urged people to get tickets for the performance.

Archè is an original ballet based on the age-old classic Swan Lake, with inspiration taken from The Greek Myth - Leda and The Swan, and The Dying Swan.

Cr Modica said audiences will recognise some of the original narrative and classical repertoire of Swan Lake but will enjoy seeing a new and unique choreographic style which is both fluid and expressive.

This beautiful production features an impressive music score that includes P. Tchaikovsky, L. Einaudi, E.Morricone, and E. Elgar.
