Bringing a taste of Fringe exclusively to MAC
Published on 07 March 2017
Adelaide-born, German-based indie songwriter Kirbanu will bring a taste of Adelaide Fringe to Mildura later this month when she performs Atmospheric Pop Dreams at the Mildura Arts Centre.
Kirbanu will share her soulful music, travel stories and quirky anecdotes with Sunraysia music-lovers as part of her one exclusive Victorian show at MAC on Saturday, 18 March.
Arts and Culture portfolio Councillor Jason Modica urged people not to miss this unique musical experience.
“Having taken a leap of faith 12 years ago to explore the world, Kirbanu weaves stories about travel, love and transformation into engaging songs that brim with heart and soul,” Cr Modica said.
Combining folk and pop elements, this is a solo concert where acoustic guitar and atmospheric soundscapes meet a powerful, touching voice of endless beauty.
“Kirbanu has more than 350 international concerts under her belt, including major festivals featuring Seal and The Corrs (Blue Balls Festival 2016),” Cr Modica said.
“Audience connection is what Kirbanu values most. Her concert is a journey into the songs and the stories that made them.”
Atmospheric Pop Dreams is an experience for the true traveller, explorer and seeker among us. Her musical debut performing live in the intimate foyer space is a journey you do not want to miss.
