Community Grants now available to support your organisation
Published on 01 September 2020
If your organisation is looking for a boost or some additional funding to manage a project, thousands of dollars in support is now available as part of Council’s Community Grants program.
Council’s Community Grants program helps local not-for-profit organisations and clubs with grants of up to $15,000 to assist them in continuing to provide their programs in our community.
The assessment criteria for several Community Grants program categories has been expanded this year to recognise initiatives that consider relief and recovery from the impacts of COVID-19.
This new measure is aimed at helping community groups adapt to the current economic climate, as well as supporting projects that may benefit sectors of the community affected by the pandemic.
Applications for our latest round of Community Grants are now open in the following areas:
- Recreation Development (up to $3,000)
- Recreation Facilities Upgrade (up to $15,000)
- Environmental Project (up to $4,000)
- Community Project (up to $6,000)
Applications for Recreation Development, Environmental and Community Project Grants will include an assessment on how they consider and address the impacts of COVID-19.
The Community Grants program helps local not-for-profit organisations and clubs achieve outcomes in line with the objectives of Council’s Community and Council Plan 2017 – 2021, whilst improving outcomes for users of facilities and services provided by applicants.
Applications will be accepted until 4pm on Monday, 5 October 2020. For information on each grant and how to apply, visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au and click on the ‘Grants’ icon.
