DELWP introduces new planning and subdivision fees
Published on 11 October 2016
Mildura Rural City Council has received notification from the Minister of Planning confirming changes to planning and subdivision fees, which will take effect from 13 October 2016. Council is advising anyone lodging documents on and from this date to check the new fee schedule carefully to avoid delays.
The Minister for Planning commenced a review of fees in October 2015 and has now introduced the Planning and Environment (Fee) Regulations 2016 and the Subdivision (Fee) Regulations 2016.
General Manager Development, Mandy Whelan said while Council collects the fees, the new fee structure is part of the statutory regulations and will impact on all Victorian Council’s.
“It’s really important that anyone who is planning a new subdivision or wanting to make a planning application looks closely at the new fees and factors these into their costs,” Ms Whelan said. “There are some significant increases which could impact on many people in our region.”
