Twilight is back this month with live music from local band, The Shared Affair.

The three friends, Chris Rogers, Dave Harris and Melissa Tucker, have been performing in our region on and off for over 20 years, showcasing a broad range of music styles on ten different acoustic instruments.

The Shared Affair have performed locally and at numerous festivals across Australia including The Kelly Country Pick Festival, Frances Folk Festival, and the Wirrina Bluegrass and Roots Festival and in 2013, were the local support act for John McCutcheon’s performance at MAC.

Arts and Culture Portfolio Councillor Jill Joslyn said that MAC was delighted to bring another musical experience at Twilight.

“Anyone who loves acoustic music will thoroughly enjoy an evening on the lawns of MAC with The Shared Affair,” she said.  “Not only do they have fantastic vocals but the wide range of instruments they play is really amazing.”

“Twilight has something for everyone, and what better way to start the weekend than spend time with people you enjoy being with,” Cr Joslyn said.

Drinks and snacks will be available from the café bar but you can also bring a picnic, and do not forget some comfy chairs.

Christmas card making activities to keep the kids entertained and Rio Vista Historic House and the Galleries will be open too.

Arts and Culture Development Manager Antonette Zema said the first event held last month was a great success.

“It was lovely to see the kids in masks and dancing on the lawns,” Ms Zema said. “One of the most memorable moments for me was watching a father and his young daughter dance together. It was magical!”

Twilight Sessions at Mildura Arts Centre is on from 5pm to 8:30pm on Friday 20 November 2015.
