Extreme fire rating interrupts Mallee Track kerbside bin collection

Tomorrow’s Extreme fire danger rating means Council is unable to undertake kerbside bin collections along the Mallee Track due to the risk of fire. This will also impact the Ouyen Landfill, which will be closed tomorrow.

Residents who live along the Mallee Track and normally have their bins collected on a Monday will now have their bins collected this Thursday 2 January, meaning they’ll need to leave their bins out on Wednesday night.

Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause, however public safety must remain our first priority.
