Mildura Rural City Council is currently seeking feedback on its Draft Recreation Facilities Pricing Policy.

The policy has been developed in consultation with local user groups and key stakeholders and is now available for wider public review.

The policy aims to provide guidance and an overarching framework regarding pricing of Council owned or managed recreation facilities.

It aims to ensure a consistent approach to the pricing of such facilities, while ensuring users of recreation facilities understand what they are paying for, why they are paying and are confident that other user groups in similar situations are also contributing in a consistent manner.

Councillor for Recreation and Events Mark Eckel thanked the numerous sporting and recreational user groups who have already been engaged for their feedback.

“We have received some great feedback from those groups and organisations accessing these facilities on a regular basis, and now we want to hear from the wider community,” he said.

“Our region boasts a number of recreational facilities, and over the years we have been conscious of ensuring access to these facilities is within the means of the groups that rely on them.”

The Draft Policy is available to view online. Feedback closes 5pm on Friday 4 August 2023.
