Free information workshop for potential Council election candidates

Residents across the municipality considering standing as a candidate in the 2020 General Council Election are encouraged to take part in a free online Candidate Information Workshop next month.

The workshop is being conducted by the Victorian Local Governance Association (VLGA) and will be held on Thursday 14 May from 5.30pm to 7pm.

This year's General Council Election for the seat of Mildura will be held in October.

Next month's free online workshop will be conducted via Zoom and include: 

  • basics of local government
  • election candidacy
  • your campaign toolkit

To register visit www.vlga.org.au and go to the Events and Training section.

The workshop aims to ensure potential candidates are better informed about the role of local government, and how to run a successful election campaign.
