Front of House Cabaret returns to MAC

The Front of House Cabaret Series is set to return to Mildura Arts Centre on Friday 6 November, with internationally acclaimed singer and composer Mikelangelo.

Featuring songs by Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen award-winning Mikelangelo will take on these three great poets of popular music in a highly entertaining one-man show.

Arts and Culture Portfolio Councillor Jill Joslyn said audiences are sure to be transfixed by Mikelangelo’s powerful performance.

“The Front of House Series is one of MAC’s most popular programs and this is a fantastic way to enjoy a live performance,” Cr Joslyn said. “In a cabaret setting, with friends and family, drinks and snacks from the bar, overlooking the beautiful Sculpture Park, this is an event not to miss.”

Having toured the world to great acclaim Mikelangelo is one of Australia’s rising stars, with his love of Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen starting at a young age.

He calls this show a homage to these men who set him on his musical path, bringing together an amazing collection of songs, sprinkling them with personal stories and intriguing anecdotes and showing off his talents as a multi-instrumentalist.

Doors will open at 6pm for a 7pm show on Friday 6 November in the foyer, cabaret style at Mildura Arts Centre.
