Council will be holding information sessions to give community groups, clubs, not-for-profit organisations, businesses and residents important details about the different types of grants available.
“I really encourage anyone looking for financial support for their project to come along to these sessions,” said Cr Milne “We have a great variety of funding available and can help you with any questions you might have about the process.”
Cr Milne advised support would be provided for anyone who is unfamiliar with the online application process and copies of the guide to Applying for Council Grants would also be available.
It is important the applicants read the guidelines as recently Council adopted new policies which has seen some changes to the eligibility criteria.
“We also want to remind people who are looking at projects on Council owned or managed facilities that they must apply for and receive approved Land Managers Consent prior to submitting a grant application,” Cr Milne said.
“The Land Managers Consent process can take up to 6 weeks from the date the completed application form is received until the final approval comes through.”
People wishing to attend one of the grants information sessions are asked to contact Jenni Snadden to RSVP prior to the sessions on (03) 5018 8100, with the sessions to be held at:
