The Chief Health Officer has issued a heat health alert for the Mallee region for Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January 2018.
Heat Health Alerts are issued when extreme heat conditions are forecast at or above heat health temperature thresholds, based on the Bureau of Meteorology 7-day forecast. Please click on the following links for further information and advice:
We urge all residents and visitors to be aware and prepare for the heat. Please be mindful of neighbours, family, friends and pets and make sure you:
- Drink more water;
- Never leave kids, adults or pets in cars;
- Check in on others;
- Keep cool; and
- Plan ahead.
