Hugh King Drive reopened to Lock 11
Published on 22 December 2016
Mildura Rural City Council has reopened Hugh King Drive between the Mildura Lawn Tennis Club and Lock 11 as part of its continuing works to reopen areas closed to the public following the recent high Murray River levels.
The Lock 11 public toilets have also been reopened, as has access for foot traffic, however the Lock 11 car and bus parking areas remain closed until the area dries out enough to handle increased vehicle loads.
The Lock 11 grounds, which are managed by Goulburn Murray Water, remain closed to the public.
While many areas along the riverfront have now been reopened, Apex Park and the Apex Park beach area will remain closed until at least late January to allow for comprehensive rectification and clean-up works. This closure also includes the Apex Park boat ramp.
