The 2015/6 program for Twilight Sessions at Mildura Arts Centre starts up again this Friday with local musician, Todd Griffiths taking centre stage on the lawns.

Todd has a broad repertoire of music to choose from, as he promises to deliver an impressive take on music by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Matt Corby. Not only does he sing covers, but also performs his own music.

Arts and Culture Portfolio Councillor Jill Joslyn encouraged locals and visitors to begin the weekend wind down with family and friends at the precinct.

“Twilight is such a great event for everyone in the community, there is no other place in Mildura that provides a free outdoor event for both families and friends with live music on Friday night,” Cr Joslyn said.  “We’re very proud to say all our Twilight Sessions this season will feature a variety of local musicians, which is just fantastic.”

“There will be activities to keep the kids entertained and people can wander through Rio Vista and the galleries too,” Cr Joslyn said.

On view: recent acquisitions from Mildura Arts Centre Collection and One Step Further are currently showing as well as Mildura Palimpsest Biennale #10 Artist Bonita Ely’s work Interior Decoration is on display in Rio Vista Historic House.

“MAC will again have yummy $15 cheese platters available to pre-order,” Cr Joslyn reminded. “It’s the perfect accompaniment to an evening of arts.

“This is a wonderful event that people of all ages will enjoy,” Cr Joslyn said.

Twilight Sessions at Mildura Arts Centre is on from 5pm to 8:30pm on Friday 23 October 2015. Further information is also available online at www.milduraartscentre.com.au or by telephoning (03) 5018 8330.
