Mildura Rural City Council’s annual New Year’s Eve Community Celebrations will return to Nowingi Place in 2023, once again promising a family-friendly and entertaining end to the year.
All the fun gets underway from 6pm, with a stacked line-up of musical talent and children’s acts to entertain locals and visitors alike.
This line-up includes:
- Aaron Schembri Band
- Cool 4 Kids Show
- Iwan, Andrea & The Soul Brothers Band
- Thea McLoughlan
There will be fireworks displays at 9.30pm and midnight, with kids’ activities, food trucks and much more!
This drug and alcohol-free event is being delivered by Midura Entertainment, with event organiser David Storer encouraging the community to come out and enjoy the free festivities.
“There’s going to be something for everyone, and I can’t think of a better venue to help bring in the New Year than our iconic riverfront,” he said.
The Cool 4 Kids Show is sure to be a highlight for local families, with the act renowned Australia-wide, while Melbourne-based act Aaron Schembri is also sure to get the crowd moving.
Local talents Iwan, Andrea & The Soul Brothers Band and Thea McLoughlan will also round out a great night of entertainment.
Mildura Mayor Liam Wood encouraged the community to enjoy the annual celebrations.
“Mildura Entertainment, as always, has put together a family-friendly line-up of entertainment to help welcome 2024,” Cr Wood said.
“Returning to the event’s traditional home so close to the CBD following the Murray River flood event also offers a whole host of opportunities for visitors and locals alike to experience what our city has to offer.
“For example, you could enjoy dinner in Feast Street or take in an exhibition at Mildura Arts Centre before walking down to Nowingi Place to bring in the New Year – there are just so many options.”
