Options available to pay your Council rates

Published on 07 February 2025

This month’s due date for lump sum rates notices is a timely reminder for residents to review the best options for them in terms of how they receive their notices, including a new SMS reminder service.

Many residents have already made the transition to eNotices, which provides a convenient and sustainable way to have your rates notice delivered to your Inbox on your computer, phone or mobile device.

To register for eNotices, visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au/eNoticeregister

Mildura Rural City Council has also introduced a new SMS reminder service, providing residents with the convenience of an early reminder of upcoming key dates for rates notices.

Rate payers who aren’t already receiving SMS reminders for their rates notice can register by calling 03 5018 8100.

Residents who pay their rates via BPAY are reminded that Reference Numbers are now seven digits and saved online payment settings may need to be updated.

Lump sum rates notices are due on Saturday, 15 February. This date does not apply to residents who have been making quarterly instalments. The due date for the third rate instalment is Friday 28 February.

Anyone experiencing financial difficulties or having trouble making rates payments should contact Council as soon as possible to discuss their circumstances and make alternative arrangements.

For more information contact Council on 03 5018 8100 Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, email mrcc@mildura.vic.gov.au or visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au/rates
