More than 8,000 visitors have visited the Kylie on Stage exhibition since it opened in August.

The major exhibition celebrates pivotal moments from Kylie Minogue’s highly successful concert tours and showcases Kylie’s spectacular stage wardrobe, including costumes from tours including Disco in Dreams (1989) right through to more recent performances, such as last year’s Kylie Me Once.

Mildura Rural City Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said the response to the Kylie on Stage exhibition, brought to the region by Arts Centre Melbourne and Creative Victoria, has been amazing.

“Visitors have loved the exhibition, we have been overwhelmed by the distances people have travelled to see the exhibition,” Cr Modica said.

“We have even had overseas travellers coming to Mildura just to see Kylie on Stage, so the response has been amazing.”

In the past three months, MAC has hosted a number of community engagement activities to complement the exhibition, including curator talks, creative workshops for adults and children, and gallery tours, which have been well received.

Continuing the Kylie theme this Friday, Mildura Arts Centre will present 100% Kylie, starring Lucy Holmes and endorsed by Kylie Minogue as “The Best Kylie Act”.

Local audiences are being invited to glam up for this Friday’s fantastic night of entertainment, which promises to be a spectacular mix of glitz and glam, incredible replica costumes, phenomenal dancers, live band, and singing and dancing along to Kylie’s classic hits such as Spinning Around, On A Night Like This, Can't Get You Out Of My Head and The Locomotion.

The night will start with a pre-show party in the Mildura Arts Centre foyer at 6.30pm followed by the start of the show at 8pm.
