Quick Response Community Grants now open!
Published on 30 November 2023
Applications are now open for Mildura Rural City Council’s latest Quick Response Community Grants funding round.
Grants up to $2,000 are available to support projects and initiatives that address an immediate need in our community.
This could include, but is not limited to, community workshops, small revegetation projects, promoting community projects, emergency response and relief, and more.
Applications will be assessed within 14 days of being received and close on 31 December.
Councillor for Community Development and Gender Equity Helen Healy said the program aims to promote health and wellbeing, increase volunteer participation and help people feel safe in our community.
“Our Quick Response Grants are open to not-for-profit, community groups, charities and individual artists and arts-related businesses to help them get ready-to-go programs that will benefit our community up and running,” Cr Healy said.
“Applications are assessed as soon as they are received, with a relatively short turnaround time for successful applicants to receive the funding they need.”
Grants can be used to activate programs and initiatives that:
- Promote health and wellbeing, increase volunteer participation and help people feel safe in our community
- Support people from different cultures to participate fully in community life
- Support children and young people to reach their full potential
- Support older people and people with a disability to have access to quality services
- Increase community education and awareness of environmental issues including climate change
