Community safety and town improvements are among key priorities identified by local residents in development of the draft Red Cliffs and Carwarp Community Plan 2023-2028.

The draft community plan is the result of more than 12 months’ work, guided by input from local residents and other groups who provided hundreds of responses.

This included feedback from individual residents, sporting groups, students, community groups and business owners.

Key themes to come out of this consultation process included:

  • Safety
  • Township improvements
  • Advocacy
  • Recreation opportunities
  • Promotion/tourism
  • Environment.

The draft Red Cliffs and Carwarp Community Plan 2023-2028 is now ready for final review and feedback, which can be provided online or in hard copy.

Mildura’s Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Community Development Helen Healy thanked the community for their contribution to the document.

“It’s been great to see how much of an active role the Red Cliffs and Carwarp communities have played in shaping this community plan,” Cr Healy said.

“The more feedback and input we have into our community plans, the more effective they’ll be in reflecting residents’ vision for the area they call home.”

Final feedback can be provided online at yoursay.mildura.vic.gov.au/RedCliffsCarwarpPlan.

Hard copies of the plan and a survey form are also available from the Red Cliffs Library, the Red Cliffs Community Centre and Coffee on Indi.

Feedback can be provided until Sunday, 17 September.
