Sunday Markets welcomed back in to Langtree Mall

This weekend the Mildura Sunday Markets will return to Langtree Mall.
Managed by the Mildura Girl Guides, the markets have been operating from footpaths in Langtree Avenue and Ninth Street since 2010 when work to redevelop the Mall began.
Tourism and Economic Development Portfolio Councillor John Arnold welcomed the market’s return to the Mall and encouraged locals to embrace the new location.
“Being back in the Mall will give market goers a new experience and add some more energy to the area,” Cr Arnold said.
“The general public and wider community have been calling out for this move so we really hope people will appreciate the change and support the markets.”
Council has worked closely with market organisers to coordinate the relocation. Market Coordinator Raywin Jamieson is optimistic about the event’s future.
“The Mildura Sunday Markets have been operating for more than 30 years,” she said.
“Doing something new is always a good thing so we’re looking forward to giving this new location a go. We hope the community will enjoy having the market back in the Mall.”
On average, about 80 stall holders attend the Mildura Sunday Markets every fortnight and more stall holders are always welcome.
The Mildura Sunday Markets are held on the second and fourth Sunday morning of the month.
