The Winfield Road Experiment bringing cool blend of styles to MAC
Published on 22 February 2022
Mildura Arts Centre (MAC) has a treat in store for live music fans this weekend, featuring an act described as "highly energetic and jam-packed instrumental music that crams catchy melodies, infectious rhythms, flamboyant percussion, thunderous horn lines and wailing solos."
Melbourne-based The Winfield Road Experiment will perform at MAC this Saturday 26 February showcasing their unique blend of soul, Latin and jazz.
Formed as a way to help stay positive during Melbourne's prolonged COVID lockdown, The Winfield Road Experiment features an eclectic and diverse group of musicians able to seamlessly cover a large range of musical genres.
Councillor for Arts, Culture and Heritage Helen Healy said the sheer breadth of musical styles on offer meant The Winfield Road Experiment would appeal to a broad audience.
"We're once again fortunate to be able to experience an act that is normally reserved for metropolitan Melbourne in our own backyard," Cr Healy said.
"And the setting for the performance, in the MAC foyer space, is the perfect intimate and relaxed area to take in The Winfield Road Experiment.
