Youth Awards to celebrate the achievements of our younger residents
Published on 04 February 2019
The youth in our region give us so much to be proud of, whether it be achieving at state or national level or simply what they do for friends, relatives or the broader community on an everyday basis.
Our annual Youth Awards are the perfect way to highlight and acknowledge these efforts and are now open for nominations.
Councillor for Community Wellbeing and Services Min Poole encouraged residents to nominate young people in our region aged 12 to 25.
“We’re fortunate to have so many young people in our region who dedicate countless hours to support or improve the lives of the people they love, or others in the community, as well as volunteering their time and talents to progress the arts or help the environment,” Cr Poole said.
“Our annual Youth Awards are a chance to ensure their efforts and achievements are recognised and don’t go unnoticed by the broader community.
“It can also encourage or inspire others in our region to participate more fully in the community.”
