Extending a Planning Permit

Most planning permits expire two years from the date of issue unless otherwise specified, however if you feel that you need extra time, you can apply for an extension of time to your permit.

Applications to extend the length of a permit must be made before the permit expires. To extend the length of a permit, you must complete and submit a Planning Permit Extension application form to Council, along with the relevant fee. Forms are available to download at the bottom of this page.
